What make Spinach Fettuccine Shirataki Noodles your best ally to lose weight?
Where do they come from?
Spinach Fettuccine Shirataki noodles are thicker than traditional Shirataki noodles. They are mostly composed of a dietary fiber called glucomannan and contain very few calories and carbohydrates.
They do not have much flavor by themselves, but will soak up any sauce or spice that you combine with them. The spinach fettuccine style noodles hold sauces very well, making them great for simple pasta dishes. The spinach added to the noodles does change the texture to one that is more al dente pasta like!
Shirataki noodles are made from yam flour, which is derived from the roots of the Konjac plant grown in Japan and China.
Dukan Diet Shirataki Noodles are made in the USA.
Health & weight loss benefits of eating Shirataki Noodles
The soluble fiber found in Shirataki Noodles slows digestion and prolongs the sensation of fullness and is an essential part of any weight loss program. Replacing one meal per day with our noodles will significantly raise your needed fiber intake and dramatically lower your total calorie intake.
Shirataki Noodles may help balance blood sugar levels by slowing the digestive process--there is a slower absorption of glucose which then requires a slower release of insulin from the pancreas which aids in the normalization of blood glucose after eating a meal.
- Marinating Shirataki noodles in a sauce (e.g. tomato based sauce) overnight will soften them, giving you more of a pasta like texture.
- Dukan Diet Spinach Fettuccine Shirataki Noodles do not need to be refrigerated. However, to extend their shelf life, you can put them in your fridge and still eat them up to 2 months after the expiration date.
